PARK CITY -- A 49-year-old skier died after apparently crashing into trees at Park City Mountain Resort, a spokeswoman said Thursday. Brett Pendleton was unconscious when discovered in trees near the Pay Day run Wednesday. He was wearing a helmet, resort spokeswoman Krista Parry said.
A Park City Mountain Resort skier died on the slopes Wednesday, the resort said midday Thursday. According to a statement from the resort, Brett Pendleton was reported missing at about 4:40 p.m. Ski patrollers were alerted and found him close to the resort's popular PayDay run, an intermediate slope.
